Zombie Fact #3:
There have been a notable number of variations in zombie capabilities. A common variation is the ability for the undead to run. Although most of the undead tend to shamble towards it’s prey, the running variation sprints at lung bursting speed to catch it’s eventual dinner. If you ever spot a zombie of this nature, don’t freeze as it rushes towards you. Your reaction can be...

Seeking Refuge #5
Another area you should avoid if you hope to survive is a supermarket. Most of them are not built to withstand an undead siege. Take into consideration that most supermarkets are mostly display windows, which give zombies easy access to anyone inside. If you need to go to a supermarket, only go there to gather supplies and quickly leave the area.
On the Run #5
Many people believe that a vehicle can make them untouchable to the undead. These people could not be any wronger. It is not possible to drive through a massive mob of zombies without your vehicle stalling. Even worse is that if the mob is large enough, they WILL flip the vehicle and you’ll be nothing more than a can of live meat.
On the Run #4
Make sure that you have a destination in mind before heading off on your journey. Wandering aimlessly through undead filled wastelands is an easy way for you to get yourself and anyone in your group killed. Keep in mind also, that the location you are headed to may have already be overrun and have a backup plan just in case.
Seeking Refuge #4
For some reason, many people consider banks to be a secure area to hide out during an undead invasion. This theory proves true for only so long. The vaults in a bank are indeed built to keep people from getting in, but the moment they are sealed where do you go from there? No, zombies won’t be able to get in, but you have pretty much doomed yourself because of the short supply of oxygen...
Zombie Fact #2
The undead lack the ability to swim. More often than not, they will sink to the bottom of whatever body of water they enter. However, they do not require oxygen to survive and can remain underwater without consequence. This can prove fatal to humans that have entered shallow bodies of water to escape the land-bound undead by boat only to have their vehicle attacked by zombies submerged beneath...

Zombie Fact #1
One would think that anything bitten by a zombie would be reanimated as one of the walking dead, but this rule does not apply to animals. An animal’s body will instantly reject the virus, so no one has to worry about “killer zombie dogs.”
Battling the Undead #2
Zombies are basically humans. Because of this, they share some of the same weaknesses that we do. HOWEVER, never hit or shoot a zombie a single time with the thought that you will stun it. They do not react to pain and will continue to pursue you until you permanently put it out of it’s misery.
Seeking Refuge #3
It is never a good idea to head towards Police Stations. It may seem safe to you, but it also seems the same way to every other person in the city. Heading here can result in unfortunate accidents. In one case, several people were trampled to death by a crowd of panicking civilians as they all rushed into the building to seek safety.
Zombie Anatomy #1
It is a fact that a zombie does not require any organ other than it’s brain to function. Due to this they do not require oxygen and other necessities that a normal human requires to function properly.
Seeking Refuge #2
When a situation such as this occurs, many people tend to turn to prayer and religion in order to save themselves. They all pack themselves within the nearest church or cathedral. These are sturdy buildings and can hold off the undead for long periods of time, however, due to the large concentration of people in one place, massive amounts of undead will be attracted to those areas and these...
On the Defensive #2
If you have a two story home, gather all of the supplies and food you can and quickly get them to the second floor of your house. After this is done, destroy the staircase. DO NOT USE FIRE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS! Many people have done so, and many people have lost their homes and their lives before the undead even managed to reach them.
On the Run #3
Avoid urban areas at all costs. Areas that were once overly populated tend to be teeming with the undead. The numerous dead bodies that WILL be found there can also cause health concerns.
Seeking Refuge #1
Many people believe it’s safe to head to the closest hospital as a place of refuge. This belief could never be any wronger. This is one place that should be avoided at all costs. Ambulances will bring in infected individuals left and right, and eventually, the place that you thought was your safe haven becomes home to your worst nightmare.
On the Run #2
DO NOT TRAVEL SOLO! Countless people have tried to be Rambo and have been ripped completely apart by a mob of zombies that managed to surround them without being detected. If you decide to travel alone, you are placing yourself in grave danger, as sleep amongst other things, would be unobtainable for you.
On the Run #1
Never travel in extremely large groups. Larger groups are easier to detect and can cause a number of problems. Four to ten people in a group should be sufficient. This however, brings me to my next lesson…..
On the Defensive #1
If you’re planning on waiting the zombie invasion out in your home, make sure it is properly fortified. Security bars on doors and windows can only stop a group of zombies for so long before they are ripped apart, so prepare for the worst.
Battling the Undead #1
Avoid close combat with zombies as much as possible. A single error can lead to being bitten. It is much easier to run away due to a zombie’s lack of speed. If you think that close combat will be unavoidable, keep some sort of melee weapon on hand.
Welcome to the one place where you’ll learn how to survive a zombie invasion should the need to know this information arise. This information is to simply be used to survive an encounter with the undead. It is not meant to teach you to become a professional zombie hunter, although most of the info provided here can be used to aid the cause. Anyways, welcome to Zombie Survival 101.
